Wigan fan Martin Aspinall is an FA Cup winner thanks to The Chinese Buffet and Wish FM – now he hopes his team can do the honours at Wembley!
He raced down to the Wigan based restaurant with his finance Dannielle to post a Good Luck message to the Latics on Friday afternoon – and enter a prize draw.
Wish FM and The Chinese Buffet secured THE last two tickets for the FA Cup Final between Wigan and Manchester City at Wembley tomorrow.
All week Latics fans have been writing messages in the Good Luck book which will be presented to the team at Wembley.
Martin, said: “I can’t believe I’ve won, I thought I would be watching the game at home on my own as Danielle is away over the weekend? I suppose I’d better find a friend now but I don’t think that will be hard!
“The FA Cup Final is a dream come true for Wigan and the town, we probably never expected they’d ever have the chance and I certainly didn’t think I’d be there to watch it.
“I can’t wait, it’s a great start to what could be a brilliant weekend – we’ve just got to hope the lads do the business now! Thanks to everyone at The Chinese Buffet and Wish FM.”
The trip to Wembley will give Martin and Danielle a break from the wedding planning and work they’ve put into Danielle’s new business, Yappers Chappers Design.
Yappers Chappers is a new ‘nickel-free’ jewellery designs, delivering wuirky vintage style with leather and charms ‘V’s Elegant Unique designs created with aluminium.
James Lang, manager of The Chinese Buffet, Wigan, added: “The whole town has gone FA Cup crazy and we are all supporting Wigan. We believe they can do against all the odds!
“The Good Luck Book has been a brilliant success and the response from people hoping to win tickets was overwhelming!
“We are delighted for Martin and fingers crossed the Final will be topped off with a Wigan win! Go Latics!”
Birthday Bonus
Eight year old Reece Lynch will be cheering on his heroes from his home in Orrell – with a double reason for wanting a Wigan win.
The Lamberhead Green schoolboy will celebrate his 9th birthday on Monday and he hopes his heroes can get his special day off to a winning start.
Reece compiled his own special good luck message for the team which he displayed proudly at The Chinese Buffet – before signing the Good Luck Book.
He said: “I think they can win, and that would make my birthday the best ever! Arouna Kone is my favourite player and I think he will score the winner!”
Reece was proudly wearing his signed Wigan shirt and he left his own beautifully created piece of artwork to wish the players luck.
It will be displayed at The Chinese Buffet in Wigan on our Wigan FC wall – with a number of prizes that can be won by lucky customers.
The Wigan wall which includes Wigan shirts, flags and scarves will be all be given away to fans of The Chinese Buffet via Facebook along with Wish FM pens, car stickers and posters.
