ICP Networks teamed up with Manchester City charity CITC for their Built For Business initiative.
CITC, or City In The Community, developed Built For Business initiative as a way of helping youngsters to develop business skills.
Built For Business is a 20 hour program for secondary school pupils aged 12-15 and is designed to develop enterprise and entrepreneurial skills using a business model.
ICP Networks MD Matt Archer teamed up with former City legend Alex Williams MBE to deliver a talk to youngsters from Kingsway High School at the Etihad.
Honour
Matt, said: “We have been supporters of CITC for a number of years and it was an honour to be asked to join in with their Built For Business project.
“The program is being taught on a set of tablets that we donated to CITC originally for their Strike A Balance program so it is really pleasing to see them being used again.
“It was a pleasure to spend time with the students, they wanted to know a little about how I started in business and they asked some really interesting questions.
“It is a fantastic program and hopefully provides students with an insight into business and might help them to think about other options when it comes to careers.”
Students who complete the course gain an Entry Level 3 qualification in Business & Enterprise awarded by OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA)
The session was hosted in the Players Lounge at the Etihad Stadium with the managers press conference room used by the children to quiz Matt and Alex.
The story was covered by the Manchester City website and shared with their 21 million Facebook followers.
