The first British woman to win an Olympic medal for boxing is a shinning beacon for British Boxing and is likely to be the stand out performer at this summers Olympic Games in Rio.
Nicola Adams can do no wrong. The perfect ambassador both in and out of the ring.
She has a smile that can light up a stadium and a talent that has been crafted to such perfection she is regarded as one of the best boxers on the planet.
Nicola Adams is already the most decorated British women boxer of all time and will be remembered in history as the first woman to win an Olympic Gold medal in boxing.
Olympic
She spoke to Onside PR as part of the PharmaNutricals ‘PN Meets’ series and admitted her collection will not be complete until it includes a World title and at least one more Olympic Gold.
She said: “The Olympics for me is always my burning focus, we have never had a double Olympic champion in the boxing before, and that is male or female, so I would love to be able to have that piece of history.
“I would love to get the World Championships as well, I am hoping, depending on what the coaches say what the plan will be, I am hoping to go to the World Championships as well and get the full set.
“I have the European Gold, the Commonwealth Games Gold, the Olympic Gold and all I am missing is the World Championships.
“I’ve had three Silver medals at the World Championships, narrowly missing out on two occasions and one of them I just lost to a better opponent but I’m hoping next year I am hoping to get that gold medal.”
