WASP Rescue monitoring units were deployed at Grenfell Tower to protect emergency service workers.
The units were used to provide warning of movement and vibration inside the stricken tower as firefighters began to secure the building following the fire.
WASP Rescue loaned London Fire Brigade five WASP units, which were used alongside six WASP units owned by the UKISAR team and Kent Fire and Rescue service.
WASP founder Matt Keogh traveled to the scene of the devastating fire, which ultimately claimed 71 lives, to provide immediate training with the WASP units.
He said: “In all my years as a firefighter I have never seen a tragedy like Grenfell Tower.
“The scene of devastation at Grenfell is unprecedented and our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this terrible disaster and to their families.
“The firefighters performed heroically in the most challenging situation and will continue too for many months as work continues to try and identify victims, secure the structure and make it safe for the investigation to begin.
“We were privileged to be able to play a small part in assisting their work by loaning London Fire Brigade five WASP units to supplement the six they already have on site.”
Grenfell was the scene of one of the UK’s worst every tragedies as 71 people lost their lives after fire ripped through the 24-storey, 220 foot-tall housing block on June 14, 2017.
The fire burned for more than 60 hours leaving the large parts of the building extremely unstable and there was concern for emergency service personnel as they began the painstaking search for victims, and evidence.
