BRITISH Olympic medal hope Jemma Simpson is literally living the American dream – as part of her bid for glory at London 2012.
The three time British champion will complete her pre-Games preparations at the Oregon Elite Track Club before flying into the UK for the Olympic trials in June.
Jemma has trained at the Nike funded campus for the past two years under British coach Mark Rowland. Their support has been crucial particularly after being told she would not be funded by the UK Athletics Association.
The 28-year-old believes her training is on schedule to bring her closer to her dream of achieving a medal this summer in her second Olympics.
Here she talks to fellow athletes and visitors at the US training camp about life in Oregon before travelling to Falstaff for early season altitude training.
