Onside PR client Best International have secured £2 billion Chinese funding to transform an Anglesey industrial site into a 299-megawatt heat and power station.
The UK leaders in capital raising, funding and asset management strategies for SMEs successfully attracted SinoFortone to the Orthios Eco Parks.
SinoFortone, a private company that has received support from the Chinese state for this investment, will invest £2bn in Orthios Eco Parks to develop waste power and food stations at Holyhead in Anglesey and Port Talbot.
The funding will transform disused industrial sites at Anglesey into a 299-megawatt combined heat and power station creating thousands of jobs between the two projects.
It is expected that the scheme can subsequently be replicated around the world.
Milestone
Jeff Hankin, Co-Founder and Director of Best International, said the acquisition with SinoFortone is a major milestone for Orthios Eco Parks.
He said: “The Eco Park will provide a food and power business, where several core businesses are expected to form a profitable, environmentally friendly and industrial agricultural facility with a renewable energy power plant at the core.

The funds received from SinoFortone therefore come as part of a wider financial strategy and substantial gain for Orthios Eco Parks.
