Manchester City Football Club have joined forces with child safety software Mobile Force Field.
City In The Community – or CITC – have agreed a four year deal with the child safety software.
Mobile Force Field will co-sponsor a fleet of vehicles crucial to supporting the CITC work with the Greater Manchester community.
The child safety software has been installed into a number of mobile tablets donated by Onside PR client ICP Networks to ensure their safety during CITC sessions.
CITC work with thousands of youngsters in the Greater Manchester area every year providing educational, health, sport and nutritional advice.
Support
Mike Green, Head of CITC, said: “The CITC Foundation work with more than 45,000 young people across Greater Manchester every year providing support in a variety of areas including football and multi-sport, health, education and community cohesion.
“We use mobile devices in schools and youth projects to deliver our health and educational projects and ensuring the safety of the young people is a top priority.
“It is great to know Mobile Force Field is installed on our tablets, it ensures the internet is a safe place for young people.”
Mobile Force Field is the world’s first proactive protection from cyber bullying, sexting, grooming and access to inappropriate for children using smartphones and tablets.
The partnership with CITC and Manchester City involves both financial support from Mobile Force Field in terms of the provision of the fleet of vehicles but also crucially the use of the software on CITC equipment.
Bullying
Mobile Force Field MD Matt Archer, said: “The problem with existing monitoring devices is that by the time we as parents realise there is a problem it is too late, as it has already happened. The child has been the unsuitable image or video or read the bullying message or inappropriate MMS.
“Mobile Force Field is a genuine world first, it works in conjunction with parents wishes, stepping into intercept only those messages or images that are deemed inappropriate or suspicious whilst enforcing parent wishes as to what is or isn’t suitable web content.
“We are delighted to be able to work with CITC and provide support to the vital work they do in helping our community and we look forward to working with the CITC team.”
