Protect24 crowned Midland Heart’s Housing Management Team the Customer Experience Award winners at the CIH Housing Heroes Awards 2018.
The Birmingham based housing associations were chosen for their work establishing a new housing managing service.
It now encompasses three specialists teams including the new Customer Hub, People Team and Place Team.
Midland Heart believes the three units are a move away from traditional call centres and generic neighbourhood teams.
The Customer Experience Award was sponsored by Protect24, the UK’s first provider of retrospective fire safety solutions for social housing residents.
Protect24 Director Anne Doherty presented the away at the Housing Heroes Awards, the highlight of CIH 2018.
She said: “We were delighted to support CIH 2018 and sponsor the Housing Heroes Awards.
“It was a wonderful night and Midland Heart’s Housing Management team were deserved winners of the Customer Experience Awards.
“The evening is an opportunity to say thank-you and reward those that work tirelessly but don’t always receive the public recognition they deserve.
“It was a terrific night and provided a great opportunity for the Protect24 team to talk further about our bespoke retrospective fire protection systems for social housing.”
Inside Housing
CIH 2018 is Europe’s largest housing event and is organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing Magazine.
Protect24 were invited to sponsor the Customer Service Award after their own successful launch earlier this year.
They are the UK’s first providers of retrospective fire safety measures for social housing.
Protect24 specialise in the retrofitting of fire safety sprinklers to high rise social housing developments.
The Housing Heroes Awards, now in its tenth year, was held in Manchester on the final day of CIH Housing 2018.
It is one of the biggest award ceremonies in the sector’s calendar, with almost 800 people attending in 2014.
Nigel Collumbell, Director of Housing Management at Midland Heart, said: “We were so thrilled to have been shortlisted but to win is a truly wonderful achievement which our teams thoroughly deserve.
“The new housing management team should be very proud of their efforts to help us realise our ambition of delivering excellent customer service.
“The team’s passion and drive for continuous improvement through gaining direct feedback from our customers and other staff play a significant part of this contribution.
“We had a very enjoyable evening at the ceremony, and are very proud to have had the teams hard work and dedication recognised.”
