BBC News focused on the Protect24 £5 million fire sprinkler retrofit.
North West Tonight’s Andy Gill visited tower blocks in Eccles to see the Protect24 retrofitted sprinklers and to talk to residents.
Onside PR arranged for the BBC camera crew to talk to officials from Protect24 and ForViva Group.
ForViva decided to invest in the retrospective fire protection measures at 17 sites they own and operate across the North West.
They commissioned Protect24 to retrofit fire sprinklers, dry risers and other fire safety measures to protected residents.
Andy Gill interviewed ForViva Group Deputy Chief Executive Colette McKune and witnessed the Protect24 installation team.
He also interviewed tenant Jim Gallagher who told him he now feels safe in his home with the protection of fire sprinklers.
