Former Big Brother star Luke Marsden celebrated his birthday at The Chinese Buffet.
The reality TV star and now successful radio DJ turned 26 and only had one place in mind when it came to celebrating.
Luke Marsden is a huge fan of the UK’s fastest growing chain of Chinese restaurants, The Chinese Buffet.
He is a regular at The Chinese Buffet in Wigan, his home town and the restaurant staff were delighted to him celebrate his special day.
Luke said: “What a fabulous place to celebrate my birthday. Thankyou so much to everyone at The Chinese Buffet.
“The Chinese Buffet is one of my favourite restaurants, I literally can’t get enough of the food – which considering they are a buffet is challenge in itself!
“I go there all the time anyway but to be treated to a meal tonight for my birthday was really special – we had a great time.”
Rock FM DJ
Onside PR arranged for Luke, the star of Big Brother 9 and now highly successful radio DJ with Rock FM to visit The Chinese Buffet in Wigan with friends.
The group enjoyed a lavish banquet at The Chinese Buffet, a new breed of buffet style restaurants.
Peter Wu, Managing Director of The Chinese Buffet said; “We were delighted to welcome Luke and we hope he had a great birthday.
“We know he loves our food and he visits a lot so it was nice to be able to celebrate his birthday by giving him a small present from everyone at The Chinese Buffet.”
The Chinese Buffet are the UK’s fastest growing chain of Chinese buffet style restaurants. Having launched the brand in Bolton 2006 the group have added four new venues in the past 18 months.
Now the chain boast venues in Bolton, Halifax, Preston, St Helens, Wakefield and Wigan – with work due to begin in Wrexham and another venue before the end of the year.
Luke added: “I hope they could become the next big thing. There isn’t a Chinese chain of high street restaurants like Nando’s for example.
“The food is fantastic, the restaurant is really high quality and if it wasn’t for the fact that you keep going up for more you would forget it was a buffet. It’s great food.
“The staff are always friendly and welcoming and they made a special effort for my birthday. I can’t thank you enough.”
Big Brother
Luke became a huge reality star after appearing in Big Brother 9 in 2008. The show was eventually won by Rachel Rice who beat bookies favourite Michael Hughes in the final.
Yet despite failing to secure the Big Brother title Luke became a massive favourite with BB fans with his Wigan wit and humour.
Luke made headlines for his romance with fellow housemate Rebecca Shiner. They went onto enjoy a relationship outside of the BB house.
The former politics student described his time in the house as an; ‘inexplicable experience and one of the best times of my life.’
Since leaving the Big Brother House after pasting 58 days Luke has gone onto enjoy a successful radio career with Rock FM. He is also a regular pundit on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side show on Channel 5.
Luke presents a radio show on Sunday nights for Rock FM, Lancashire’s Hit Music Station. He was narrowly beaten into second place by Radio 1’s Dan and Phil at the recent Sony Radio Academy Golden Headphones awards.
Happy Birthday Luke
