NCE Soccer have suspended all soccer activity to protect clients from the Coronavirus crisis.
The Winter coaching program will be suspended with immediate effect for the rest of the month because of concerns of the current global COVID-19 crisis.
NCE Soccer provide elite supplementary soccer coaching for youngsters aged 7 and above at venues along the East coast of America including New York State, New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions
The program involves hundreds of young boys, girls and their families and presents a risk that NCE Soccer feel is unacceptable for both clients and staff.
It should be noted there has been NO reported cases of ANYONE having contracted or tested positive for Coronavirus but, given Governmental advice it now seems sensible to suspend the program.
Safety
NCE Soccer Founder, John Curtis, said: “It isn’t what we wanted to do but it is the right thing, we have to do our bit to ensure the safety of our clients, our staff, and society as a whole.
“This is totally unprecedented. No-one know what will happen, we are still learning how the virus develops and the fact that some could have the virus and yet not even know is a huge concern.
“The advice is clear, we need to try and reduce contact to try to stem the growth of the virus so it seems the most sensible thing we can do is suspend the Winter program with immediate effect.
“We hope families will understand our decision, the Winter program was almost at an end but we can not run the risk.
“We hope this will be over shortly and enable us to resume our coaching program, and the wider World to get back to some sort of normality.”
NCE Soccer have announced an immediate suspension of the Winter program. The suspension will last initially until the end of March when the position will be reviewed.
It is hoped NCE Soccer will be able to continue with the Spring try-outs and subsequent Zone 1 and Spring COE programs but will review the position in line with US Government advice.
