NCE Soccer have signed Onside PR to their rapidly expanding team.
The fastest growing junior soccer coaching program in the United States have hugely ambitious plans.
And Onside PR will manage their PR and marketing drive as they seek to add additional coaching venues to their impressive roster.
NCE, or the National Centre of Excellence, provide elite supplementary soccer coaching to youngsters in America.
Their invite-only program takes the best players and then maximises their potential through a superior coaching program.
NCE Soccer was founded by former Manchester United and England defender John Curtis who was a product of the hugely successful Lillelshall program in England.
Elite
He said: “We want to create an elite national standard. There are lots of junior coaching programs buts they are all different, all stand alone and that creates inconsistencies.
“We aim to ultimately run programs across America but ensure that they all operate to the exact same standards, and our standards are the highest.
“I was lucky enough to have the very best footballing education at Manchester United under Sir Alex and as part of the Lilleshall and junior England programs.
“I believe it is crucial that we impart of those standards on the young players as soon as it is possible if we are to give them their best chance of success.
“The take-up since we launched two years ago has been incredible and we now have exciting plans for the future.
“I know Onside PR are the perfect fit to help us grow and we are looking forward to working together.”
Onside PR founder James Fletcher will work with Curtis and the NCE Soccer team to manage their PR, marketing and communications strategy.
Supplementary
NCE Soccer provide supplementary coaching to thousands of youngsters across the East coast of America from their base in New England and New York State.
They pride themselves on preparing aspiring soccer players with professional development environments with coaching centres from as far North as Massachusetts down to Washington with plans to extend into Florida in 2020.
NCE Soccer run three courses; Zone 1 for youngsters aged between 7-11, COE for players aged 11-15 and College ID program for players aged 15 and over.
NCE’s ProPathway is the very pinnacle and, utilising the incredible contacts established by founder Curtis during his career in England, NCE are able to provide the very best players with trials at professional clubs around the world.
“It’s an incredible program and Onside PR are delighted to join the NCE Soccer team,” explained Onside PR founder James Fletcher.
“It is a very select program and takes the best of the best and makes them better and we look forward to helping them grow.
“There are some exciting plans for 2020 and NCE Soccer is looking to grow, adding new venues and has some really interesting plans in the pipeline.
“There are areas where we will be able to add immediate value and we can’t wait to get started.”
Curtis moved into coaching having called down the curtain on an impressive playing career, which began at Manchester United and took in spells at Blackburn Rovers, Nottingham Forest, Leicester and Portsmouth.
He moved to America in 2013 to take charge of Everton Football Club‘s Everton America Program after a brief stint at the Genova International School of Soccer, where he also worked for West Bromwich Albion’s Senior Italian Scout.
The Everton America program provided elite soccer coaching for hundreds of young players in Fairfield County and it was hoped it would unearth talent which could be filtered into England.
He moved onto the New York Club Soccer League in November 2014, working as the league’s Technical Director, and joined Next Gen USA as their Regional Development Director.
The time was hugely useful for Curtis, allowing the time and experience needed to launch the National Centre of Excellence Program in 2018, with the long term plan of replicating the successful Football Association School of Excellence which was established at Lilleshall in 1984.
Lilleshall was a finishing school for the best English prospects and honed the talents of England starts Michael Owen, Sol Campbell, Andy Cole, Ian Walker, Jamie Carragher, Wes Brown and Jermain Defoe before it was closed in 1999.
Curtis has rolled out the NCE Soccer program to include three regions along America’s East Coast including venues in New England, New York State and the Mid-Atlantic region which includes Washington DC.
This year Curtis has plans to open new venues in Philadelphia, New Jersey and expand into Florida as NCE Soccer develops.
