The Morson Group have turned to the Halo Shield as part of their Covid-19 response.
They have installed the Halo Shield Pod Pro at their global headquarters in Manchester.
It will scan staff and visitors as they enter Adamson House in Salford and immediately display their body temperature.
Anyone identified of having a temperature of 37.8 degrees or more will be denied entrance to the Morson HQ – to keep staff safe from the possibility of Covid-19.
The raised temperature may simply be down to external conditions or physical activity prior to entering the building. Those individuals will be allowed to wait and attempt entrance at a later time.
Confidence
Red CCTV Managing Director, Rob Kennedy, said: “The Halo Shield provides employees, suppliers and employees with confidence.
“Confidence in the sense that they know everyone within the building had a body temperature in the ‘safe’ zone.
“The Halo Shield is not a Covid-19 detector, it monitors and measures body temperature and the experts tell us elevated body temperatures are a symptom of Covid-19.
“But this isn’t just about Covid-19. This will identify anyone with an elevated temperature and that could indicate all sorts of health issues including the common cold, or SARS, of other virus that could be a risk to others within the building.
“We believe this will become a longer term solution for business anyway who simply want to keep their staff, their suppliers and their customers healthy.”
The Halo Shield, created by leading security providers Red CCTV, is being installed at businesses from a variety of sectors across the country and the UK returns to work after lockdown.
